After moving to Australia with Mat and getting a job as a groundie with his employer it wasn't long before I decided it was too hard. I sometimes think I must be completely mad for having such hare-brained ideas but I also try and remember some wise words that were recently given to me - "Keep pure your highest ideals, strive ever towards them". They remind me that if things in life aren't quite how I wish them to be then I should do something about it. I appreciate also what you say about not leaping into anything before being totally sure and I fully intend to do more research and think very clearly before I make any rash decisions :-) Thank you Irina for your positive encouragement. Your day as a tree surgeon sounds like a lot of fun, but I think it is a hard job when you do it day after day in all types of weather. Before you 'dive' into it sleep on it (I hope it makes sence). However, I envy you in a way - you feel that the accountacy is not for you and trying to find what is. Well done! I had been thinking more along the lines of dropping down to a 4 day week and possibly doing 8 instead of 7 hours on these. I think I will get my chainsaw license first before I mention anything to my boss though. I won't be much use to anyone in a paid capacity til I have that anyway.
