Yesterday was Mat’s birthday so a big Happy Birthday to him and also my friend Irina, who shares the same birthday, (according to Mat they also both share the same birthday with Justin Timberlake)!
To celebrate Mat’s birthday we flew to Brisbane yesterday morning, which is about an hour and a half flight from Sydney, to visit his Sister Libby and her partner Martin. Mat stayed at their house when he first arrived in Australia but although I met them at Christmas when they flew down to the Central Coast I had not been to their house yet.
It’s a lovely new house inbetween Brisbane and the Gold Coast in a place called Hope Island. I will hopefully post some more on this tomorrow with some piccies as well but right now I have to make a cheesecake and get my legs waxed before going out for a belated celebratory birthday meal at the local eatery. I just wanted to let you know what we were up to as again, I have been a little lax in my posts lately.

Congrats on getting a PR of 3 and finally an Alexa rank
Hi Chris, yes we had major rain and thunder and lightning Tues and Wed night and then from about 11am Thursday it rained pretty much non stop. The storms were fantastic to watch from our balcony – out to sea there were lightning flashes every 5 to 10 seconds – way cool. It’s back to being quite hot today though.

Manage to grab any piccies of the lightning at sea? Would look quite striking I imagine. If you disable flash, having the ISO as high as possible before image gets too noisy, and have a minor fiddle, should be able to get impressive results.
PR of 3 comes from being linked to a few times by other sites, having fresh, original content (occasionally ;-P ) posted, and the link from Sea Cavern Witch (lol, you know what I mean) which had a PR of 6 I think last time I checked, will have helped.
So go get posting more often, those income schemes I mentioned are waiting for you to earn some beer/vodka/Amsterdam money
