Yesterday Mat and I went for a little jolly (350km round trip) to Newcastle and back, just for the crack. Surprisingly, when we got there we couldn’t find much open. It was a bit strange, like a ghost town, but as we weren’t looking for anything specific we contented ourselves with having a scenic drive around the coast.
On the way there we passed through a town called Swansea and decided to stop for a bite to eat as we were both feeling a little peckish. So, it would appear, was the local seagull population:
