Umm, do mackerel have teeth? I'd have nibbled him back, mackerel are one of my faves and super healthy too.
I spose if the nibble got infected and you didn't do anything about it you could get septicemia so I might let it count lol :-)

Lol Con, don't be silly ;-P things can still get you in your room! Our mate Digger found a Funnelweb spider on his window sill just inches from the head of his bed, and people find snakes in houses all the time :-)

In Australia you are never safe. However, Bro, your comment has sobered me up a little. Last summer Mat, Nick, Kat and I spent the day at McCarrs Reserve which is where the Pittwater inlet starts to turn into a river/creek (type in 'McCarrs Reserve, NSW, Australia' to google maps and you will see what I mean) and spent loads of time swimming there. Then Nick tried scaring us with tales of Bull Sharks but I just thought it was bull shit. Obviously this could be a prime spot for them. But then if you worry about stuff that can kill you all the time you'd never go out the house.

You want to watch out especially for Bull Sharks also known as the Zambezi Shark, Al they are one of the most deadly and aggresive of all the known man eating species! They swim incredibly close to shore and especially hard to access little inlets(they love close quarters)etc! Also known as the Zambezi Shark because of their extreme tolerance to both salt and fresh water,(rivers etc)they can swim imbetween both types indiscrimately and sustain their physical prowess( one of the only sharks with say this capability makin them very, very, very effecient killers)! Be careful! I was watching a deadly shark program and it was confirming everything that i have said, and the program was focusing on little australian back fresh water rivers etc, where there had been numerous fatalities!
