I’ve chosen individual options, and inserted each picture individually.

OK, same pictures, using the previous uploads, but this time using the built-in gallery option in WordPress. The way it looks in this post, BEFORE you click on any of them, does not use any plugins, it is automatically a part of WordPress.
I’ll leave this here for now, as it will be a way to test how different plugins handle images that are part of a gallery, unlike the ones above, and whether they still work or not.
Oh, I told the gallery to use two columns, and link to the image file itself, not an attachment page.
